🕊️ Baptism of the Lord — January 11, 2026

The Heavens Open

“The heavens were opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove.” (Matthew 3:16)

Peoples of the world,

There is a moment when the earth grows still,
and the heavens answer.

It is not a spectacle.
It is an opening.

At the edge of the Jordan,
the One who has nothing to prove steps into the water.
The One who has nothing to steal receives a name.
The One who has nothing to impose reveals a calling.

The heavens open
not because humanity has earned it,
but because God gives Himself.

And the Spirit descends like a dove:
not as a force that crushes,
but as a peace that indwells.

Peoples of the world,
you have learned to define yourselves by struggle:
by wounds, failures, belonging, anger.

You have made identity a fortress,
and fear a border.

But Baptism announces something else:
the human person is not condemned to repeat the same story.
We can be reborn.

To be reborn is not to forget.
To be reborn is not to deny history.
To be reborn is to receive a deeper spring
than what has broken you.

It is learning to say:
I am not only what happened to me.
I am also what I choose today.

At the Jordan,
a voice does not speak an accusation—
it speaks an adoption.

And here begins the human vocation:
to become a place where heaven can dwell on earth.

Not through speeches,
but through a life aligned.
Not through slogans,
but through acts of justice.
Not through domination,
but through service.

Peoples of the world,
if you want peace to be born in history,
open first the inner space
where peace can descend.

Inner reset phrase:
I am not my storms: I am the source that chooses peace.

Then the heavens will open again—
not above a distant river,
but in homes, cities, and peoples—
wherever a human being dares to be reborn.
